Pumpkin Fun!

Last weekend we went to a pumpkin walk. The pumpkin walk is all sorts of scenes made out of pumpkins. Kind of hard to describe, but it was so cute and fun that we plan on going again next year. The best part of all was the school bus shuttle. Ella and Christian were thrilled since I have been telling them they can't ride a school bus until they turn five and go to school. They loved every second of it. Mommy and daddy's legs would not fit in the seat. Man those buses are uncomfortable.

I forgot my jacket and got to wear this awesome NFL blanket to keep warm.
The picture doesn't do it justice, but this scene was Noah's ark. All of the animals were made out of pumpkins of some sort of squash. It was so cute and clever! Look at the two elephants butts getting on the ark!
We let the kids paint pumpkins since they can't safely hold a knife. Safety first since pumpkin carving with a butter knife put me in the hospital for a week when I was five.
They both did such a good job and had so much fun! I forgot to take some of the finished project, though. Maybe later.

We can do it later in the afternoon as well, but the lighting won't be as great... But we can shoot in shade and probably be okay. It is up to you... Sometimes you can get a lot of shadowing on the faces in the afternoon. We can try it though.

I think you could start a fashion trend of awesome NFL blanket jackets, and I like Jess miss your little pinky, I don't know why it is so great-probably because it just reminds me of you!

Cute pixs, Kensey! Good idea about painting instead of cutting -- why didn't I ever hear the story of the near amputation or see the pinky? I miss little trick-o-treaters!
