Beautiful Artwork!

Last night as Austin and I were going to bed we noticed some artwork on our sheets. Ella and Christian had colored with pen all over our brand new cream colored sheets. I am always careful with pens and markers because two, two year olds can get out of control very quickly, so I couldn't think how they had gotten hold of a pen. Apparently, Austin had left a pen on his nightstand and the kiddies thought it would be beautiful to color on the entire length of the sheet (top and bottom sheet). Usually our bedroom door is always closed to keep them out of things, except when I am showering. Put two, two year olds together and they will find each and every opportunity for destruction. At least they were honest about it. I asked them who did it today and they both proudly said, "Ella and Christian colored on your bed." Just one of the joys of motherhood. Does anyone know how to get out pen?

Kensey,
I don't know about sheets, but when my little girl was a new born our youngest boy who was about 1 &1/2 decided to color on our leather sofa with a gel pen. I was in such distress, and oddly enough that day a neighbor came over and told me to spray hairspray on it. So, we tried it and within a couple of hours it was gone. I would try putting something like shout on it and washing in it cool water with a color safe bleach. I wished I had a secret to try. Good luck and let me know if you find a way to get it out.

I heard hairspray works, but you might want to look into it. At least you are raising upstanding, honest kids:) I just read your other post that has the hairspray idea......so it must work.

Yeah, hairspray was supposed to work....I just recall being in Public Speaking class at UVSC and doing a speech about stain removal. It was supposed to be like an infomercial. So on the pen went, on the hairspray went, and it did nothing! I think I even broke a sweat trying to get it to disappear in front of all my classmates. Fun times....so basically I'm afraid to say those sheets are history. Of course Billy Mays says his Oxi Clean can get anything out! Billy is one of my heroes. He's such a manly man and can do anything from using Mighty Putty to pull a tractor to stain removal. I'd trust him with my life!

Kayli used to get pen on her shirts all the time and hairspray worked every time as long as I did it right away and really saturated it. Hopefully, you already got it out!

I have also heard that hairspray works.
At least they were honest about it. :)
